COMPANY PROFILE:
Founded in 2013, this group is a national value-based primary care organization with a successful track record of effectively supporting providers with the medical management of patients. Through their Management Service Organization (MSO), they provide healthcare practices with robust support – either through joining their practice network or being an employee at one of their 100+ medical centers. The organization currently boasts a provider staff of well over 100 physicians, and a large team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. They are currently hiring due to growth.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is an outpatient primary care position providing services to Medicare Advantage patients. The office is a thriving practice in which the physician will be either the only provider or one or two providers on-site.

Physicians conduct an average of 12 to 15 visits per day, allowing ample time to examine and counsel each and every patient.

The physician provides exceptional medical care to patients by conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing patient treatment plans. This role is a safety-sensitive position as it involves direct patient care and administering medication, along with significant chronic disease management.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- provide care for older adult patients with acute and chronic illnesses
- seek consultation from specialists when needed
- assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, and promote patient health and wellness
- provide care coordination and documentation for patients
- provide quality evidence-based medical care in a managed care environment
- interpret data and diagnostic results including but not limited to radiology, EKG, etc.
- oversee and supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants when needed
- ensure that patients are seen at least every other visit by a physician

The practice uses an EHR and provides full clinical and administrative support for physicians.

All providers share equally in the on-call schedule, which consists of low volume phone triage only. The physician will be on-call 2 or 3 weeks per year.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Georgia medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility, Internal Medicine / Family Medicine / Geriatrics
- 3+ years outpatient practice experience strongly preferred
- current residents / new graduates with managed care experience welcome to apply
