Position Highlights:
TeamHealth is hiring a full-time (Monday through Friday) internal medicine (IM) physician in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform primary care in an inpatient rehab setting
- Manage acute neurological, orthopedic, and cadiovascular diseases
- Order and interpret lab results
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare practitioners to maximize patients rehab potential
- Build relationships with your patients, patients' family members, and facility staff to facilitate effective treatment delivery
- Promote healthy lifestyle changes
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with the healthcare team
- Strong work ethic
- Adaptability and flexibility to address complex medical issues
- Empathy, compassion and ability to connect and engage with your senior patients or residents
- 1+ years internal medicine experience
- Rehab experience preferred.
- Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania license
- Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania DEA with prescriptive authority
