Internal Medicine Physician

We are multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Clinics regularly receive national awards from the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA). Our Mission is to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all.

The experienced Physician is responsible for providing and managing quality health care services to patients of our Community Clinics. The provider reports directly to the site Medical Director.

$100-$120k signing bonus available for select applicants (*specific program terms apply).

Years of Experience Requirement:

  • Physician with three 3-5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical facility

Responsibilities

  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with staff and patients.
  • Performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives, as directed by the Medical Director.
  • Care team responsibilities as outlined in the Care Team Patient Center Medical Home Procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Must have a current California Physician MD/DO medical license to practice.
  • Physician with three 3-5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical facility.
  • Must have a current California license issued by the Board of Registered Nurses/Medical Board of California.
  • Current registration issued by the DEA allowing the prescription of drugs.
  • Current BLS certification and current national certificate.
  • Experience using electronic health care records Epic highly desired.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer skills required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills highly desired but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Sensitive to the needs and situations of a multi-cultural population from a variety of income levels.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
