Incredible opportunity to become the Inaugural Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Fairfield Hospital in northwest Cincinnati, OH. The program will match its first class of residents in July 2025, so we are ready to bring the new APD on in mid-2024.

The associate program director [APD] serves as a resident advocate and serves as role model of professionalism; design and conduct a program in a fashion consistent with the needs of the community, the Mission of Mercy Health, and the mission of the program.

Criteria

The Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine is a physician (MD or DO) with a current Ohio Medical License, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has teaching and research and/or QI experience.

Educational Responsibilities

  1. The Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine will develop and present an ambulatory curriculum which includes simulation activities.
  2. Assist the Program Director in the scheduling of didactic activities.

Clinical Activities

  1. Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine will maintain their practice within the residency continuity clinic.
  2. The Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine will spend the majority of their clinical activity in the direct supervision of residents but may occasionally be required to see patients in the continuity clinic independent of residents.
  3. The Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine may occasionally precept a Residency Inpatient Team if desired and scheduling can be arranged to allow for this.
