Carilion Clinic Internal Medicine, a 25-person group practice comprised of the teaching faculty of Carilion's Internal Medicine Residency Program, has an employment opportunity for a General Internist to join them in a combined inpatient and outpatient practice. Inpatient responsibilities include resident education and management of hospital teams while outpatient responsibilities include direct patient care and the teaching and supervision of residents in the ambulatory setting. Special interest or experience in oversight of a Residency Continuity Clinic is a plus.

The Carilion Clinic-Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education program is comprised of 294 residents and fellows enrolled in 27 fully accredited residency and fellowship programs to include Residencies of Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Hospital Dentistry, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Psychiatry and Surgery; and Fellows in Addiction Medicine, Adult Joint Reconstructive Surgery, Cardiovascular Disease, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Emergency Medical Services, Gastroenterology, Geriatric Medicine, Geriatric Psychiatry, Hand Surgery, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Infectious Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, and Surgical Critical Care.
