Description:
Bassett Healthcare Network is a rural integrated health care system that serves communities through an eight county region, covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The network includes a Primary Hospital that is Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center, a secondary Hospital, and three critical access hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school- based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

The Division of General Internal Medicine is an NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home, Level 3 Recognized practice. We use fully integrated EPIC inpatient and ambulatory EMR.

Job Summary:
Join a remarkable team of General Internists and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive Medical Care for patients 18 and above
  • Orientation time to ramp up schedule to a maximum of 8 patients per 4 hour session, 9 sessions per week
  • Protected administrative time Wednesday mornings
  • Dedicated nursing and administrative staff
  • Clinical teaching in General Internal Medicine and/or Geriatrics
  • Secondary call coverage – a first call system in place with a nurse practitioner/physician assistant on call for your patients
  • Faculty appointment from Columbia University, daily interaction with medical students, Internal Medicine, and Transitional residents
  • Excellent technological and subspecialty support
