Position: Internal Medicine Physician (Outpatient)
Location: Bridgeport and Stamford, CT
Role Type: Outpatient Internal Medicine
Compensation: Competitive annual salary exceeding MGMA standards, plus performance incentives




Job Overview:


Healthcare United is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join a prominent Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with multiple locations throughout southern Connecticut. This position offers a 100% outpatient focus with no call responsibilities, serving adult and geriatric patients. This opportunity provides substantial career growth within the largest provider of primary care services in Fairfield County.



  • Deliver high-quality primary care to adult and geriatric patients in a fully outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain clear, thorough documentation and uphold all regulatory standards.
  • No new graduates at this time.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Outpatient only — Monday through Friday schedule
  • Average 18 patients per day
  • EPIC EMR (very important)
  • Comprehensive support team including community health workers, nutritionists, and care navigators
  • Strong onboarding and ramp-up period
  • Spanish proficiency a plus

Requirements

  • No graduates, ASAP start date
  • MD preferred, with completion of a residency in Internal Medicine from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Active CT license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
