A management group in Florida is seeking a Internal Medicine Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.
Assignment
Dates: AS soon as credentialed for 6 months w/option to extend or go perm
Schedule: M-F 8-5
MUST be able to work full schedule
Setting: Outpatient
Call: No Call
Volume: ~10ppd
Patient Ages: 65+
Procedures: therapeutic procedures such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care
Cases: Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment
- acute care (minor injuries, infections or exacerbations of chronic disease, cough, cold, flu, etc)and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, and other chronic medical conditions.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic lab work, x-rays, EKG
- Prescribes medications and other modalities of treatment as needed to treat those conditions listed above
- Counsels patients on various disease conditions they may be treated to ensure that the patient is educated to their disease process, treatment, and expected outcomes
Support Staff: Clinic Admin, Clinic Manager, RNs,, each provider will have an MA and NP
EMR/Charting: Allscripts
Requirements
Boards: Board Certified
Certifications: BLS; DEA
