Job Description

A Paso Robles based client is seeking an experienced, collaborative family practice or internal medicine physician to join its primary care team. An ideal candidate works well amongst an interdisciplinary team, can be a new graduate, and is an excellent primary care provider.

Required Qualifications

  • Attended an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Completed an accredited residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, or Pediatrics
  • DEA certificate
  • Board certification or eligible in internal medicine or family medicine
  • BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health by performing physical examinations and taking patient history
  • Supervises assigned NP and PA staff on clinical responsibilities
  • Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans
  • Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
  • Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy
  • Assist with utilization review, quality assurance, and risk management programs
