Job Description
A Phoenix based client is looking for a highly skilled, compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to provide evidence-based care to the American Indian, Alaska Native, and others who experience barriers to healthcare. An ideal candidate provides care in an altruistic and compassionate manner, recognizes and solves barriers to accessing healthcare, is committed to life-long learning, and can work collaboratively with people of various backgrounds and positions. This position includes providing internal medicine care and professional guidance to primary care staff.
Required Qualifications
- Completed with accredited medical school and internship
- Board certification
- MD/DO with a current Arizona Medical Physician License
- Current DEA license
- Current BLS certification
- Hold a valid Arizona unrestricted driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a licensed physician
- Knowledge of the cultural and social backgrounds of the Native American and/or underinsured population
- Current ACLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based internal medicine care including diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic services
- Demonstrate knowledge of public, community, and population health
- Work cohesively with all staff members
- Maintain patient records with EHR and document effectively
- Provide coverage across partnering clinics as needed
