SOUTHERN OREGON
Primary Care Physician sought for PACE program (program of all-inclusive care for elderly)
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Medicare and PACE Services and in consultation with the PACE Medical Director, the Physician will provide primary care and continuous medical coverage to PACE program participants. Qualified applicants will have the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan, care for, and provide services to frail elder participants according to assigned responsibilities and PACE program standards.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of physical, mental and social needs of frail older adults.
- Thorough knowledge of current concepts, theories and practices related to home and community-based care for the elderly and disabled adults
- Working knowledge of health care delivery and financing systems including Medicaid, Medicare, waiver programs, prospective and capitated systems, public health programs and HMO/Managed Care.
- Education: MD or DO with background or special emphasis in internal medicine and geriatrics preferred. Board certified or eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, Palliative Medicine or Family Practice. Current Oregon Medical license and DEA registration required.
