Locum Tenens Medical Director - Geriatric Medicine

Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Medical Director - Geriatric Medicine
Location: Fayetteville, NC
Shift: Full-Time, Monday – Friday Day Shift (Part-Time Available)

Position Details:
Patient Population: Geriatric
Setting: PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly)
Responsibilities: Provide medical direction and supervision of participant care, oversee clinical outcomes and QAPI program, develop medical policies and protocols, supervise PCPs and APPs, conduct participant assessments, develop treatment plans, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, provide on-call coverage, educate participants and families, and perform physical examinations.
Required Procedures: Physical examinations, participant assessments, treatment planning, and management of geriatric patients
EMR System:
Support Staff: Primary Care Providers (PCPs), Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Nursing Staff, and Interdisciplinary Care Team
Days Per Month: Full-Time or Part-Time
On-Call/Weekends: Weekend Call and Shared On-Call Rotation with Nurse Practitioners

Submission Requirements:

  • Active North Carolina Medical License
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • CDS/DEA
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with the frail or elderly population
