Job description JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Internal Medicine/Geriatric Medicine
• Job Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
• Location: Lawrence, MA
• Service Setting: Community Health Center
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Days, Full Time
• On-Call Shift Schedule: As assigned (including backup clinician role)

PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Culturally diverse population with focus on adult and geriatric patients
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Internal medicine and geriatrics; routine and emergency treatment

FACILITY INFORMATION
• Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Referral network
• Support Staff Available: Multidisciplinary care teams
• Reason for Coverage: Ongoing staffing need

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Geriatric and internal medicine evaluations and treatment
• Preventive and chronic care for older adults

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Massachusetts medical license
• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine
• Experience: Residency completion in good standing
• Other Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to travel between sites as needed

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to adult and elderly patients
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Refer patients to specialists as appropriate
• Participate in quality improvement and utilization review efforts
• Teach and mentor medical trainees
• Represent the health center within the community and external bodies
• Serve on relevant committees as needed
• Engage in continued medical education and development
• Promote system-wide healthcare improvement initiatives
