Samaritan Health Services in Oregon has an opportunity for a Geriatrician

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a geriatrician to join our team in Lebanon, Oregon. The position represents an addition to two current geriatricians, to support continued growth in the service line.
Our award-winning health system provides exceptional primary care and a range of specialty services throughout the mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon coast. The network serves approximately 300,000 residents in Linn, Benton, Lincoln and portions of Polk and Marion counties. Our skilled providers have a passion for building healthier communities through world-class, compassionate health care.

Job Specifics:
  • Monday through Friday schedule; Four 10-hour shifts
  • 8-15 patients per day
  • Practice is currently based in nursing facilities, skilled rehab, and assisted living memory care settings. Geriatrics team provides primary care including chronic disease management, acute medical work-ups and post-hospital care.
  • Plan to create outpatient geriatric panel, inpatient and outpatient consult service with opportunities for a candidate to create a practice tailored to their geriatric medicine interests.
  • Optional procedures to include: I&D, cryotherapy, and shoulder/knee injections
  • One week of phone call every six weeks; no in person call
  • Help support IM/FM Residents when rotating through clinic
  • Position will travel locally to facilities in Albany, Lebanon, and Sweet Home
Job Requirements:
  • Geriatrics fellowship training preferred.
  • Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • H-1B visa candidates considered
