Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a dedicated Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist, you will join Mercy Medical Group, a premier multi-specialty group in the Sacramento region, playing a pivotal role in our esteemed critical care program at Mercy General Hospital.

You will provide specialized care within our state-of-the-art 20-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), contributing to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to clinical innovation and high-acuity patient outcomes. • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients within the 20-bed CSICU.
• Manage complex mechanical circulatory support, including Impella, LVAD, and ECMO, in a high-acuity setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to optimize patient outcomes and advance cardiac critical care standards.
• Participate in the growth and clinical development of the cardiac surgical intensive care program.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Board-certified or board-eligible MD or DO in Critical Care Medicine
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Critical Care, Surgical Critical Care, or Anesthesia Critical Care is highly desirable
• Experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support (Impella, LVAD, ECMO)
• Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology candidates with critical care experience will be considered
• Active or eligible license in the state of California
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in a team-based, patient-focused environment
