Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid State of Ohio medical licensure
- Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
- Proven experience managing critically ill patients in an inpatient ICU setting
- Proficiency with Epic EHR system
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with healthcare providers and residents
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Availability to work weekends and flexible night shifts as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Level 2 trauma centers
- Proficiency in invasive procedures such as central line placement, arterial lines, and PA catheter insertions
- Expertise in ventilation management (Invasive and Non-Invasive)
- Prior experience supervising residents in an academic setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctorate of Medicine (MD) or Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in an ICU
- Previous locum or temporary assignment experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Must be available to work night shifts and weekends, including Friday evening/night call, Saturday and Sunday rounding and call
- Travel reimbursement provided; bookings are standard/economy, lodging within $150/night
- Credentialing process duration: approximately 60-90 days
- Ability to supervise healthcare providers and participate in resident teaching activities
