We are looking for a highly skilled Locum Physician to provide exceptional inpatient critical care coverage in Lima, Ohio. Required Skills:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid State of Ohio medical licensure
  • Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
  • Proven experience managing critically ill patients in an inpatient ICU setting
  • Proficiency with Epic EHR system
  • Ability to supervise and collaborate with healthcare providers and residents
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible night shifts as needed

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Level 2 trauma centers
  • Proficiency in invasive procedures such as central line placement, arterial lines, and PA catheter insertions
  • Expertise in ventilation management (Invasive and Non-Invasive)
  • Prior experience supervising residents in an academic setting

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Doctorate of Medicine (MD) or Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in an ICU
  • Previous locum or temporary assignment experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:
  • Must be available to work night shifts and weekends, including Friday evening/night call, Saturday and Sunday rounding and call
  • Travel reimbursement provided; bookings are standard/economy, lodging within $150/night
  • Credentialing process duration: approximately 60-90 days
  • Ability to supervise healthcare providers and participate in resident teaching activities
