Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive critical care for cardiac surgery, ECMO, shock, and VAD patients.
• Participate directly in ECMO cannulation and management.
• Apply the latest research and best practices in critical care medicine to continuously enhance outcomes and quality metrics.
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students in critical care medicine.
• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in administrative duties, committee service, and call coverage consistent with departmental standards.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent with eligibility for a Pennsylvania medical license.
• Board certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine through Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Surgery.
• Active clinical practice in critical care within the past 12 months required.
• Experience or expertise with ECMO, cardiothoracic surgery, lung transplantation, or liver transplantation highly desirable.
• Willingness to become independent with ECMO management required.
• Valid DEA registration (Controlled Substance License).
