Associate Medical Director, Clinical Epidemiology
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an outstanding Infectious Diseases physician for the position of Associate Medical Director of Clinical Epidemiology. Candidates must be qualified for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, should have experience working within a university/academic medical center setting, must be Board Certified in Infectious Disease, and be eligible for Ohio medical licensure. Candidates must have an MD, MD/MPH, or MD/PhD. An MPH is desirable but not required.

This individual will assist the Medical Director of Clinical Epidemiology in the oversight and supervision of medical care within the University Hospitals as it relates to the management and prevention of infectious diseases and disease patterns. This individual will work in collaboration with nursing leadership, hospital administrative leadership, and Infectious Disease leadership to provide operational management, financial management, and leadership functions within the Service. The successful candidate will also provide inpatient and outpatient care at The Ross Heart Hospital, including OSU East Hospital; research focused on infection prevention and epidemiological practices/principles is also expected.
