Position Overview

The Infectious Disease Physician will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases. This role requires strong clinical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with both patients and medical professionals to manage complex and drug-resistant infections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review patient medical records, including imaging and laboratory results

  • Evaluate referrals from other healthcare providers

  • Diagnose and manage complex, unidentified, or drug-resistant infections

  • Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory testing

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Conduct physical examinations and recommend further testing when necessary

  • Provide immunizations and educate patients on infection prevention

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases

  • Partner with community health stakeholders to identify outbreaks and prevent disease spread

  • Monitor community health statistics and evaluate treatment effectiveness

  • Stay current on emerging infectious diseases and evolving treatment protocols

Qualifications

  • Valid New York State Medical License

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified

  • Certification demonstrating expertise in infectious disease treatment, containment, and prevention

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred

  • Extensive training in Internal Medicine with specialization in Infectious Disease

Compensation & Benefits

💰 Competitive Salary: $180,000 – $250,000 (based on experience)
