Job description We are seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Georgia. This role begins on Dec 22, 2025, and offers a Monday to Friday daytime schedule, with weekend hospital rounds approximately every six weeks and a compensatory day off during rotation call weeks. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing long-term IV antibiotic therapy, central line evaluation, and joint management of infected prosthetics.

Job Details

  • LOA: 120 days
  • Provider Type Needed: Infectious Disease Physician
  • Schedule: Standard schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours per week). Weekend hospital rounds occur about every 6 weeks, with a weekday off during those rotation weeks.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Management of long-term IV antibiotic therapy (including OPAT)
  • Central line evaluation, including removal decisions and infection assessment
  • Joint management of infected prosthetics
  • Guidance and documentation of isolation precautions
  • Interpretation of laboratory and culture data

Additional Information
  • Georgia medical license required
  • Board certification in Infectious Disease required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
