Job description About the Opportunity:
TMC Health is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician to join our employed group of four highly successful practitioners. Together, the team provides consultative services at both TMC’s flagship hospital and TMC Rincon, aligning inpatient and outpatient workflows, collaborating with the ambulatory network (TMCOne), and overseeing infection prevention, control, outpatient IV antibiotic treatment (OPAT) program, and
antibiotic stewardship within the system.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Provide consultative infectious disease services at TMC’s flagship hospital and TMC Rincon.
Align inpatient and outpatient workflows to ensure continuity of care.
Collaborate with the ambulatory network (TMCOne) to support integrated patient management.
Oversee infection prevention and control programs across the health system.
Manage the Outpatient IV Antibiotic Treatment (OPAT) program for safe and effective therapy.
Lead antibiotic stewardship initiatives to optimize antimicrobial use and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
· Medical License in good standing
· BE/BC in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease
· Adult Infectious Disease Fellowship trained and board certified/eligible
· Energetic, motivated, and committed to a strong patient-centered practice philosophy

Clinical Expertise in Infectious Diseases – Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of complex infections.
Consultative Care – Ability to provide inpatient and outpatient consults across multiple facilities.
Workflow Integration – Skilled in aligning inpatient and outpatient processes for seamless care.
Collaboration & Communication – Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including hospital staff and ambulatory networks.
Infection Prevention & Control – Knowledge of hospital infection control protocols and compliance standards.
Antibiotic Stewardship – Expertise in optimizing antimicrobial use and reducing resistance.
OPAT Management – Experience overseeing outpatient IV antibiotic therapy programs.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) – Proficiency with systems like Epic for documentation and order entry.
Leadership & Program Oversight – Ability to lead initiatives and monitor quality improvement.
Patient Education & Advocacy – Communicating complex information clearly to patients and families.
