ID Physician Needed | 1 Week/Month | EPIC | Greensboro, NC

Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Infectious Disease Physician for a 26-week inpatient locum assignment starting February 16, 2026, with an option to extend. The provider will cover hospital rounding and consults at Moses Cone and Wesley Long, managing a broad range of complex infectious disease cases.

This role is ideal for ID physicians looking for predictable daytime hours and 1 week per month commitment.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: 02/16/2026

• Contract Length: 26 Weeks (extendable)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8a–5p
  

• Setting: Inpatient

• Patients per Day: ~20

• Patient Population: Adult

• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding & consults

• Providing infectious disease expertise across units

• Evaluation & management of complex infections, including:
  • Sepsis
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Endocarditis
  • Other complex ID cases

• Special procedures: TBD

Coverage Need

• Average 1 week per month of coverage

• Monday–Friday daytime only

Requirements

• Board Certified – Infectious Disease

• Active North Carolina License (or willingness to obtain; licensing support available)

• Training: Infectious Disease trained

Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days
