Shift: Day
Position Highlights:
- 100% focus on adult Infectious Disease
- Balanced schedule: 70% inpatient care and 30% outpatient clinic
- Opportunity to manage diverse and complex ID cases
- Provide travel consultations, immunizations, and immigration physicals
- Access to outpatient IV antibiotics (home, infusion center, nursing home)
- Weekly onsite CME + additional CME & grand rounds through Mayo Clinic Care Network
- Optional teaching of medical students and advanced practice trainees
- Work alongside strong medical and surgical subspecialty support, including interventional radiology
- Supportive and collaborative team structure with leadership invested in physician success
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert Infectious Disease care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage infectious conditions including complex, chronic, and travel-related cases
- Oversee antimicrobial stewardship and coordinate outpatient IV therapy as needed
- Participate in teaching and mentoring (optional)
- Attend CME programs and maintain engagement in professional development
- Collaborate closely with hospital specialists and clinical teams
