Job description Job Overview – Physician (Infectious Disease):
Compensation: $210,000 – $222,000/year (dependent on experience)
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Step into a key role as a Physician (Infectious Disease) with our client in New York, NY, delivering expert care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Evaluate and manage complex infections, support antimicrobial stewardship, and contribute to infection control initiatives. Ideal for physicians with a strong ID background and a passion for improving public health and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities as the Physician (Infectious Disease):
  • Patient Care: Diagnose and treat infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, STIs, TB, and hospital-acquired infections.
  • Care Management: Provide consultations, manage long-term treatment plans, and coordinate care for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Infection Control: Support prevention protocols, implement CDC guidelines, and advise on risk reduction strategies.
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship: Promote evidence-based prescribing and help reduce resistance through internal initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with PCPs, specialists, and care teams to ensure continuity and timely interventions.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Document care in eClinicalWorks and support quality improvement and reporting efforts.
Qualifications for the Physician (Infectious Disease):
  • Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution required.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New York and possess an active DEA license.
  • Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of post-residency experience in infectious disease, with proven ability to manage patients of all ages independently in a clinical setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in eClinicalWorks or similar EHR systems.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills with excellent communication, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
