Infectious Disease Physician – Findlay, OH
Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Infectious Disease Physician to join our esteemed team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide comprehensive care to adult patients in a collaborative and supportive environment, with a focus on professional growth and work-life balance.
Position Overview:
- Clinical Focus: Provide specialized Infectious Disease care exclusively for adult patients.
- Schedule Breakdown: Balanced workload with approximately 70% inpatient care and 30% outpatient services.
- Responsibilities:
- Manage complex infectious disease cases within a hospital setting.
- Conduct outpatient consultations, including travel medicine, immunizations, and immigration physicals.
- Offer outpatient IV antibiotic therapy, which may be administered at patients' homes, infusion centers, or nursing facilities.
- Serve a diverse patient population with an emphasis on quality, continuity, and personalized care.
- Participate in weekly onsite Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, with additional CME and grand rounds opportunities through the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
- Opportunities to teach medical students and advanced practice providers, fostering an academic environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgical, radiology, and other specialty services.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the hospital’s infectious disease protocols.
Qualifications and Certification:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease by an approved medical board.
- Valid medical license to practice in Ohio.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Candidates must be eligible for employment without visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $330,000 to $400,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Additional Compensation: Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and productivity incentives.
