Hyperbaric Physician (Perm) needed for Gillette, WY
Clinic seeks a compassionate Hyperbaric Physician to permanently join their team of Internists, specialists, and other medical staff. Due to increasing demands of more complex patient panels, this position is needed to help provide quality care to the community of Gillette. This position will offer a traditional approach to medicine, along with a DPC model.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments of patients referred for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
  • Review medical histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests to determine eligibility for HBOT.
Research:
  • Run the Hyperbaric program as well as conduct research and try adjuvant therapies to add to the effect of Hyperbaric for off label purposes.
Treatment Planning and Management:
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's condition, medical history, and specific therapeutic goals.
  • Determine the appropriate protocols, dosages, and duration of hyperbaric treatments, considering evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
  • Monitor patients' response to treatment and adjust therapeutic parameters as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Administration
  • Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chambers and related equipment.
  • Supervise treatment sessions and provide medical oversight to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including wound care specialists, nurses, technicians, and support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring physicians to educate them about HBOT, discuss treatment plans, and address any concerns or questions.
Documentation and Record-keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and procedural documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, documentation standards, and quality assurance protocols.
Education and Training:
  • Stay current with advances in hyperbaric medicine and related fields through continuing medical education (CME), conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Provide education and training to medical staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals on hyperbaric medicine principles, safety protocols, and clinical best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty (e.g., Emergency Medicine, Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine).
  • Fellowship trained in Hyperbaric Medicine
  • State medical licensure and/or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Excellent clinical skills, including diagnostic proficiency and therapeutic decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and evidence-based practice.
