- Located 90 miles west from NYC in Orange County NY
- 100 bed community hospital
- Physicians average 14-16 shifts per month
- Physicians average 3-4 nights or less per month.
- Night shifts are 7pm-7am
- Day shifts rotate between 7am-7pm and 7am – 3pm Monday- Friday.
- Focus is placed on continuity of care, so scheduling is such that there is little to no fragmentation.
- ICU is “open” and patients are managed by Hospitalists with the help of Intensivists and Specialists available 24 hours per day.
- No procedure requirement at this site.
- During day shifts, average hospitalist pt. census is 15-18 pts/shift
- Schedule is made at least 2 months in advance
- Great community located right on the border with NY, NJ, and PA
