A hospital in Ohio is in need of a pediatric hospitalist who is able to provide locum tenens coverage for approximately eleven days over a span of two months beginning in early June with a possible extension. On the job, the locum tenens physician can expect to see up to six babies in SCN, four well babies, up to four peds plus between one and two psych peds for only medical check and H&P. The provider will see a variety of cases including sepsis, mild prematurity, NAS, Peds Psych, Non-ICU peds, circumcisions, emergency C-Sections, stabilizing sick newborns for transport to Columbus, UVC (1x per month), admissions from ED, mainly hyperbilirubinemia and no long-term vents. This position will require the locum to work on a 24 on 24 off schedule or 4-6 days in each of these stretches plus locum will be on 24 hour in-house call coverage. Provider can only work up to 48 hours in a row. This facility uses Epic EMR and will provide paid training. Candidates must be able to perform circumcisions and must be comfortable caring for newborns.
