A progressive hospitalist group in Maryland is looking for an internal medicine or family medicine trained hospitalist to join their dedicated and growing team. The hospitalists work flexible block schedules that average 15 shifts per month. Days on and off are grouped together and all physicians are expected to do one to three night shifts per month. On the weekends there are two day physicians (splitting admissions and rounding) and one nocturnist. There is mid-level support seven days a week. You will see a reasonable 14 to 15 patient census per shift. Intensivists are responsible for the critical care unit. They use Allscripts Electronic Health Record (EHR).
