A national organization with a strong reputation continues to grow and has an opening for a physician extensivist for their program in San Jose California. Maintain continuity of care by seeing your patients in the hospital, post-acute clinic, or skilled nursing facility (SNF). Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Some on call nights and weekends as scheduled. Usually by phone first and visit if needed, but light if at all since you are only seeing the patients with this organization. See an average of 13-15 patients total per day. Focus is on quality care and time with patients. See patients in the hospital in the morning, and afternoons in the clinic and about once a week in the skilled nursing facility. Supported by sophisticated information technology systems, these physicians generally split their time between the hospitals where they round on a small group of patients each day, and the post-acute clinic where they see recently discharged and other patients at high risk of re-admission.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary, bonus incentives, and full benefits package. The salary plus bonus plan combined will be close to $300K in combined earnings. They will consider IM, FM, or Geri Fellowship trained physicians with an active CA license, board certified, and available to start in 90 days or sooner per credentialing.

The program is located right in San Jose. A popular city in Santa Clara County also known as Silicon Valley. One of the largest cities in California with over 1 million population. The area is one of the most affluent communities in the US. They have an international airport in San Jose and located just an hour south of San Francisco.
