Central NC - About 15 miles outside of Raleigh, NC
• Locum Nocturnist coverage needed ASAP ongoing (October dates available)
• 18-bed hospital
• 4 night shifts per month, with an option for more
• Prefer candidates that can work 7 shift blocks
• 1 MD
• Full surgical team is in-house Monday – Friday
• No mid-levels
• Average census is 18 during the day (Monday – Friday)
• Sat/Sun census is lower with 10 – 12 patients max
• Unless they have an ERA patient, there should not be any admissions at night
• Average length of stay is 1.8 days
• No ICU
• No procedures (handled by surgical team)
• Codes are handled by the Hospitalist and surgical team (if it is during the day and during the week) will stabilize the patient, and then will call EMS to have the patient transferred
• EMR is Meditech
• Credentialing takes 90 days – Temps available on a case by case basis
• Board Certified preferred
