Greetings,
It’s Xavier from ECHO Locum Tenens. Here are 6 hospitals in Massachusetts. Let’s talk Friday! I am in the office until 6pm est or feel free to reach me Saturday morning over coffee!
St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester MA:
- 320 bed hospital.
- Schedule 8a to 8p, 11a to 11p, 8p to 8a.
- Patient census 15-17, less on swings and nights.
- Few procedures required, lumbar punctures, abdominal paracentesis
- Must be willing to round, do admits and discharges. NPs will assist
- 45 miles from Boston.
Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts, Springfield MA:
- Credentialing time frame, less than 1 month! Start the 2nd part of September!
- Vent management required, intubations preferred.
- Must have case logs to receive privileges.
- Avg 15-17 per provider per day.
- Average 2 admits per day, can spike occasionally.
- 30 minutes north of Hartford CT, 1.5 hours from Boston.
Cooley Dickinson Hospital, North Hampton:
- Credentialing 4 weeks!
- 8a to 6p, 7a to 7p, 2p to 12a, 6p to 8a
- Procedures required? No!
- Will consider FP trained physicians.
- Standard hospitalist work; rounding and/or admits, depending on shift.
- Strong subspecialty coverage, anything not covered is shipped to Baystate.
(MetroWest), Framingham Union Hospital & Leonard Morse Hospital, Natick MA:
- No procedures required!
- Shift schedule AM: 7a to 7p,/12p-12a, PM: 7p-7a.
- Admits Day - 10-12 Framingham, 4 Natick
- Admits Night - Average 15 Framingham, Average 5 Natick.
- Specialty back up = Yes! Cardiology, GI and Neurology.
- Semi closed ICU
Baystate Medical Center, Springfield:
- Shift Schedule, 7a-7p, Sat-Sun 7a to 5p. 12a to 12p, 8p to 8a.
- No procedures required!
- Running codes required? No!
- Patient Census, Day 16 to 18. Night approx 8.
- EMR system Cerner.
- Call involvement? No!
- Will take FP trained physicians.
- On rapid response team? Yes!
