Opportunity Overview
- Hospitalist physician needed to fill gaps in the 2027 schedule
- 0.10 FTE
- 6-month assignment
- Inpatient hospital setting
- 25-bed facility
- Adult patient population
- Approximately 10 patients per day
- Physician will work independently
- Hospitalists manage both medical/surgical and ICU patients
Schedule & Coverage
- Variable 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
- Must be willing to work nights
- Approximately 1 intermittent week of coverage throughout 2027
- Urgent night coverage needed December 29, 2026-January 4, 2027
- First day reserved for orientation
- 8 hours of orientation required
- No call requirement
Clinical Details
- Inpatient hospital medicine
- Rounding and admissions required
- ICU rounding and admissions required
- Hospitalists manage both medical/surgical and ICU patients
- Pediatric patients are not routinely followed, though hospitalists may be consulted
- Preferred procedures include ventilator management, intubation, and central line placement
- EMR: EPIC
Requirements
- MD
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Hospital medicine experience with clinical activity in the past 24 months
- Applicant must provide documentation of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine services representative of the scope and complexity of the requested privileges
- Case log requirement may be waived for physicians who completed training within the previous year
- Licensed candidates highly preferred, but candidates without a license may be considered
