## Hospitalist Program Medical Director | Englewood, OH Southwest Ohio — Hospital Medicine Leadership | Quality, Operations & Clinical Performance ## Position Details
- Full-time, permanent physician leadership position
- Leadership Role: Provide medical oversight and strategic direction for a hospital-based Hospital Medicine program
- Team Oversight: Directly oversee Hospitalist physicians and APPs
- Lead quality outcomes, clinical performance, patient experience, and operational improvement
- Collaborate with hospital medical and nursing leadership to achieve organizational and clinical goals
- Oversee staffing models, scheduling, recruitment, provider performance, and workforce planning
- Mentor Hospitalists and APPs while maintaining accountability for clinical and performance goals
- Lead implementation of clinical initiatives, care standards, education, training, and patient flow strategies
- Manage program operations, strategic planning, budgeting, and financial performance
- Participate in physician and APP hiring, compensation, and incentive program development
- Support adoption of technology to improve clinical care and program performance
- Monitor billing, coding, documentation, reimbursement, and length-of-stay performance
- Lead continuous quality and process improvement initiatives
- Develop strategies to improve hospital throughput, patient safety, clinical outcomes, and provider satisfaction
- Promote evidence-based, patient-centered, equitable, and cost-effective Hospital Medicine ## Hospital/Medical Group Info
- Lead a Hospital Medicine program within a large integrated healthcare system serving Southwest Ohio
- Work closely with senior hospital, physician, nursing, operational, and financial leadership
- Systemwide emphasis on standardizing evidence-based Hospital Medicine practices
- Collaborative environment focused on quality, safety, patient experience, operational efficiency, and clinical excellence ## Job Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Unrestricted Ohio medical license
- Experience in Quality Improvement
- Fundamental knowledge of healthcare financial decision-making
- Previous physician leadership and management experience preferred
- Hospital privileges or active pursuit of privileges across applicable hospital sites
