APP – Hospitalist Location: Hartford, CT Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Position Highlights • Join a large, vibrant, and growing hospitalist team in Hartford, CT. • Open to Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs/APRNs). • Full-spectrum inpatient medicine role. • Full-time, days only. • No call required. • Premium differentials offered. • New graduates and experienced providers are welcome to apply. • Comprehensive orientation provided by experienced physician and advanced practice hospitalists. Clinical Responsibilities • Provide full-spectrum inpatient hospitalist care. • Triage and admit patients. • Perform daily inpatient rounding. • Manage patient discharges and transitions of care. • Evaluate and address changes in patients’ clinical status. • Perform physical examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans. • Develop medical, educational, and psychosocial plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team. • Coordinate further evaluation and referrals to specialists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate. • Provide treatment within established protocols and scope of practice. • Identify conditions outside the provider’s scope and appropriately refer to a physician. Practice & System Support • Dedicated support and advocacy for APPs through an Office of Advanced Practice. • Access to a large, fully integrated, nonprofit healthcare system serving communities throughout Connecticut. • Utilize EPIC and advanced clinical and informatics technology to support patient care and provider satisfaction. • Established mentorship and orientation programs designed for newly hired providers and those new to practice. • Ongoing professional development opportunities, CME, courses, learning series, and leadership development.
