Locums Hospitalist - St. Louis, MO - Day Shifts + Call - IMLC Accepted

Coverage Type: Day Shift + Call

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  
• Generally 2 call days every 7 days
  
• On non-call days, onsite until 5:00 PM; remaining coverage may be remote
  
• On call days, onsite until 7:00 PM

Call Responsibilities:

• Triage/transfer center calls from 4:00–7:00 PM
  
• Admitting support and APP supervision/sign-off
  
• Occasional admissions between 4:00–5:30 PM
• Support Staff: APPs and several hospitalists
• Board Certification: Required
• License: Active Missouri license required; IMLC considered
  
• DEA: Required
  
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
  
• Experience: At least 1 year preferred; new graduates considered if able to work independently
  
• Patient Population: Ages 16 through geriatrics
  
• Patient Volume: Approximately 17 patients per day

Position Overview:

A hospitalist service in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Locum Tenens Hospitalist for ongoing daytime coverage with rotating call responsibilities. The role offers a collaborative environment with APP support and a closed ICU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daytime rounding coverage
  
• Manage medically complex adult patients
  
• Participate in rotating call coverage
  
• Support admissions and APPs during admitting call
  
• Handle transfer center triage calls
  
• Cross-cover assigned patients until 7:00 PM

Additional Notes:

• Closed ICU; no ICU procedures required.
  
• No OB or pediatric responsibilities.
  
• Physicians are not required to run codes.
  
• Travel and lodging support available.
  
• Full-time or consistent part-time coverage may be considered.
