A large tertiary hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking **four Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine physicians** to join its Hospital Medicine team as Nocturnists. This opportunity features a desirable 7-on/7-off schedule, dedicated overnight hours, and a closed ICU managed by Critical Care Intensivists. The positions are anticipated to begin in **Fall 2026** and are eligible for J-1 waiver sponsorship.
**Position Highlights**
* **Four Nocturnist openings available**
* Full-time, permanent employed positions
* **7 days on / 7 days off**
* Overnight shift: **11:00 PM–7:00 AM**
* Practice at a large, approximately **850-bed flagship hospital**
* Busy inpatient Hospital Medicine service
* **Closed ICU** managed by dedicated Critical Care Intensivists
* No primary ICU management responsibilities
* Level II Trauma Center
* Emergency Department sees more than **64,000 visits annually**
* Extensive access to specialists and advanced hospital services
* Join the largest healthcare system in Arkansas
* System includes **14 hospitals and more than 150 clinics**
* **J-1 waiver eligible**
* Anticipated start date of **Fall 2026**
**Clinical Responsibilities**
* Provide overnight inpatient Hospital Medicine coverage
* Evaluate and manage new admissions
* Provide ongoing care for hospitalized medical patients
* Respond to changes in patients' clinical conditions overnight
* Coordinate care with Emergency Medicine physicians, Intensivists, specialists, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
* Facilitate appropriate transitions and handoffs to the daytime Hospitalist team
* Utilize extensive specialty and diagnostic resources available within a large tertiary hospital setting

**Qualifications**
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in **Internal Medicine**
* Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
* Current or eligible **Arkansas medical license**
* Comfortable practicing within a busy inpatient environment
* Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with Intensivists and other specialists
* Experienced Hospitalists and graduating residents are encouraged to apply
* **J-1 waiver candidates are welcome**
