This well-established healthcare facility serves a large regional service area consisting of 25 clinics and 5 hospitals, supporting a metro population of over 216,000 residents. The facility features a recently remodeled Labor and Delivery Unit with a Level III NICU, and offers robust subspecialty support including MFM with genetic counseling, an OB diabetic educator, Urogynecology, and established Gynecologic Oncology services.Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and GynecologyJob Details:
- Seeking a BE/BC OB/GYN Hospitalist (0.6 FTE) to join a collaborative team of MDs, NPs, and CNMs in a rapidly growing community with approximately 1,300 deliveries per year
- Provide 24/7 in-house obstetric coverage for labor and delivery, triage, and emergency OB care
- Manage high-risk pregnancies, obstetric emergencies, and unassigned/ED obstetric patients
- Perform vaginal deliveries, operative vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections as primary surgeon
- Collaborate closely with midwives, community OB/GYNs, anesthesia, pediatrics, and nursing to ensure safe, patient-centered care
- Respond to OB/GYN consults from other hospital departments, including evaluation and management of gynecologic issues presenting through the ED and inpatient services
- Round on post-operative patients in house
- Perform minor GYN procedures and surgeries as credentialed, including D&C, diagnostic laparoscopy, and management of early pregnancy loss and ectopic pregnancy
- Call schedule includes weekdays and weekends with 24-hour call shifts (8am to 8am)
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB/GYN required
