Job description
We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens position in Ketchikan, AK. This is an inpatient assignment at a critical access hospital covering both medical/surgical and ICU patients. Please see below for more information.
- 25-bed facility
- Adult Level IV trauma center
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Round on and admit both medical/surgical and ICU patients
Manage an average daily census of approximately 10 patients
Perform ventilator management
Serve as the sole hospitalist on duty during scheduled shifts
Provide internal medicine or family medicine services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested, with documentation of services provided during the past 24 months (waived for applicants who completed training during the previous year)
Provide consultation on pediatric patients as requested; pediatric admissions and ongoing management are handled by pediatrics
Qualifications
Must have Active AK license and AK DEA. Will explore IMLC once in place for AK, or Locums AK temp licensure
BLS required
ACLS required
Working Hours
Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Rotating 12-hour day and/or night shifts scheduled in 3-4 shift increments
No call required
