We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens position in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This is an inpatient hospitalist opportunity within an acute care hospital covering both day and night shift blocks. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital
- Meditech EMR
- Closed ICU model
- Group includes dedicated nocturnist coverage
Job Responsibilities
Manage a daily census of approximately 16-20 patient encounters per physician
Admit, round on, and discharge inpatients within a closed ICU model
Coordinate care with intensivists, consultants, and nursing staff
Provide continuity of care across a 7 on/7 off block rotation
No procedures required in this role
Complete all clinical documentation in Meditech EMR
Participate in a site director phone interview as part of the facility onboarding process
Qualifications
Active New Hampshire medical license in hand at time of submission
Active DEA in hand
NPI number required with submission
Working Hours
Alternating day and night rotation
Day shifts: 7:00 - 19:00
Night shifts: 19:00 - 7:00 (flexible start and end)
Shift lengths vary - 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts
Providers may indicate a preference for days or nights; the facility prefers a provider able to cover both
Must be willing to work 7 consecutive shifts
Flexibility required for days, nights, and weekends
No call required
