We are seeking a Locum Hospitalist Physician to provide inpatient coverage in Springfield, Oregon. This role offers flexible scheduling, including blocked schedules, with the primary need focused on daytime rounding and additional coverage for admissions/cross-cover.
Setting: Inpatient | Acute Care Hospital
Call: No scheduled call
EMR: EPIC
Job Responsibilities
Admissions
Cross-cover for nocturnist coverage
Approximately 15 patients/day for rounders
Approximately 7 patients/day for admitters
No ICU management
No ICU rounding, lines, vents, or intubations
Intensivist team manages in-house codes and ICU-related care
Full subspecialty support available
Qualifications
Board Certified in Hospitalist Neuro
Minimum 2 years of experience
ACLS required
Proficiency with EPIC
Oregon medical license preferred
Oregon license required for candidates seeking an early start
Candidates without an Oregon license may be considered if licensing ETA is reasonable
Documentation of at least 80 inpatient/outpatient patients within the past 24 months, or qualifying recent residency/fellowship experience
Working Hours
Day Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (12 hours)
Swing Shift: 1:00 PM start (9 hours; 12 hours may be accommodated)
Night Shift: 9:00 PM start (10 hours; 7:00 PM start may be accommodated)
Coverage may be arranged in blocks such as 7 days on / 7 days off, with flexibility based on provider availability.
Primary need is daytime rounding, with some swing/night coverage for admissions and cross-cover.
