In addition to providing a full-service hospital, Spencer Hospital operates a comprehensive cancer treatment center, an inpatient behavioral health center, a multi-specialty surgical center, four primary care clinics, and two satellite dialysis centers.

We’re seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our hospitalist team and provide exceptional care to patients in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.What You’ll Do
- Work as part of the 2 physician, 2 APP hospitalist team for Spencer Hospital, a community- owned, 99 bed facility.
- Hospitalist and APP typically see between 18-22 patients per day.
- eHospitalist service available for back-up coverage when needed.
- No required procedures, but opportunities for procedures is available if desired.
- Over 1,400 physicians and APP's available for consult through the Avera Health network.
Schedule
- Part Time! Benefits available starting at .6 FTE
- Work between 7 - 10, twelve hour shifts per month.
- Scheduled shifts of 7am to 7pm
- Overnight call coverage as required (eHospitalist back-up available)
Qualifications
- MD or DO, licensed (or eligible) in Iowa
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- DEA certification (state and federal)
- Strong provider involvement in decision-making
- Low physician turnover and strong long-term provider retention
