A respected healthcare organization in Central New York is seeking a full-time Nocturnist Hospitalist to join an established inpatient medicine program. This opportunity offers a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule, competitive compensation, strong specialty support, and the ability to practice within a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare system.
Position Highlights
• Full-time Nocturnist Hospitalist position
• 7-on / 7-off block schedule
• 10-hour night shifts from 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Competitive compensation ranging from $200,000–$311,519 annually
• Established Hospitalist program with strong clinical support
• Stable hospital-employed position within a respected regional healthcare system

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for hospitalized patients during overnight hours
• Complete admission evaluations, histories, and physical examinations in a timely manner
• Manage acute medical issues and changes in patient condition throughout the night
• Coordinate care with attending physicians, specialists, and nursing teams
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and admissions
• Assist with medical management of hospitalized patients when attending physicians are unavailable
• Facilitate continuity of care and appropriate follow-up planning
Qualifications
• MD or DO degree required
• Current and unrestricted New York medical license required
• Active DEA and controlled substance registrations required
• Eligible for hospital credentialing and medical staff privileges
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills preferred
