Position Overview:
A well-established hospital is seeking a Hospitalist Medical Director to lead a high-performing hospital medicine program in Dublin, GA. This is a leadership opportunity for a physician looking to combine clinical practice with administrative oversight while driving quality, efficiency, and team engagement.
Assignment Details:
Full-time, employed position
Combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities
Hospitalist schedule with rotating weekends
Provide direct patient care while overseeing program operations
Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams
Leadership Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and oversight of the hospitalist program
Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and clinical excellence
Monitor performance metrics, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction
Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Recruit, mentor, and retain hospitalist physicians and APPs
Optimize workflow, scheduling, and operational efficiency
Practice Environment:
192-bed acute care facility with Level III trauma designation
Established hospitalist program with strong infrastructure
Collaborative, physician-friendly culture
Supportive administrative and clinical leadership
Comprehensive specialty support available
Requirements:
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Eligible for unrestricted Georgia medical license
Eligible for or active DEA registration
Prior leadership experience preferred
