Located in Machias, ME - Bangor 90 miles, Portland 200 miles
Full-time
Inpatient Only
Overview:
* Seeking a Hospitalist for a low-volume, community-based hospital
* Unique schedule - approximately 13 weeks per year
* Provide comprehensive inpatient care in a rural setting
* High level of autonomy with strong collaboration across departments

Clinical Details:
* Manage up to ~17 inpatients per day
* Provide admissions, rounding, consultations, and discharges
* Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialists
* Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning and case management
* Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue events
* Read EKGs and perform scheduled stress testing
* Provide 24/7 call coverage during assigned weeks (onsite and/or phone)
* Assist with ED consultations and inpatient care coordination
