Hospitalist Physician – Tampa Bay, Florida

A well-established, physician-led healthcare system in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an experienced Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join its expanding inpatient medicine team. This opportunity is open to Board-Certified physicians who hold or are eligible to obtain an active Florida medical license and have post-graduate hospitalist experience managing adult and geriatric patient populations.

For more than 30 years, this respected organization has provided high-quality care throughout the Tampa Bay region and continues to grow. The hospital medicine program is expanding to support a new state-of-the-art hospital opening in April 2026, in addition to several established hospitals across the area.

Hospitalists work a daytime schedule from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, caring for patients 18 years and older, while practicing in a collaborative, team-focused environment that values clinical autonomy, strong leadership support, and efficient operations.

Position Highlights

• Daytime schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Average daily census: 18–22 patients

Requirements

• Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

• Active Florida medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
