Position Overview:
• Specialty: Hospital Medicine (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine)
• Location: Dublin, Georgia
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Ongoing
• Shift Options:
– 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rounder)
– 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Admitter)
– 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night)
• Call: None (no off-site call)
• Orientation: One shadow day + one EMR/orientation day
• Facility Size: 190 beds
• Average Census:
– Acute ADC ~104
– Total ADC ~121 (2025 average)
• Rounding Census: 18–24 patients per provider
• Admissions:
– Days: 12–18/day
– Nights: 12–20/night
• Consults: 1–5 per day
• ICU: Open ICU model; ICU rounding required
• Critical Care Expectations:
– Must manage up to 8 CCU patients
– Must independently stabilize/resuscitate patients before additional help arrives
– Comfortable with critical care billing
• Procedures & Vent Management:
– Initial 24 hours of ventilator management REQUIRED (vent bundle)
– Subsequent vent management handled by Intensivist
– Procedures preferred (not mandatory): central line, paracentesis, thoracentesis, vasopressor titration, anti-arrhythmics, nicardipine drips
• Trauma Level: Level III (trauma patients assigned to surgicalist service)
• Patient Population: Community med/surg with typical distribution — Elderly 58%, Middle Age 32%, Young 10%
• Support Staff: Typical community hospitalist support; partial subspecialty coverage
• Follow-Up: Referrals made to community primary care providers
• Grand Rounds: Yes — daily at 11 AM; centralized MDRs
Requirements:
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Hospitalist experience required
• Competency with ICU admissions, running codes, and managing critical care patients
• Ability to independently stabilize high-acuity patients
• Strong understanding of critical care time billing
• Case logs from the past 2 years (required)
• Active or eligibility for Georgia license
• Active or willingness to obtain DEA
Compensation:
• Pay: Discussed by phone only
• Weekly paychecks
