Adult Hospitalist Opening – Elkhart,Indiana
Location: Elkhart, IN
Type: Full-Time and Part-Time, Permanent
Specialty: Adult Hospital Medicine
Setting: Inpatient
Seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Adult Hospitalists to join a well-established hospital medicine program in Elkart, Indiana. Join a collaborative, high-performing team delivering comprehensive inpatient care across a broad spectrum of medical complexity.
Position Highlights:
Join a team of 34+ adult hospitalists and 4 advanced practice providers
Care for a diverse patient population with wide-ranging medical conditions and complex pathologies
Close collaboration with surgery, intensive care, trauma, and other specialties
24/7 ICU coverage
Dedicated procedural support from Interventional Radiology
Separation of call and rounding shifts to minimize interruptions
No responsibility for Code Blue, RAT Call, or Code Stroke
High patient satisfaction and low provider turnover
Collegial, stable, and supportive work culture
Work Schedule:
Clustered shift model promoting flexibility and work/life balance
7-on/7-off schedule available
Approximately 183 shifts per year for full-time providers
Mix of day and night shifts
9- or 10-hour shifts (not traditional 12-hour shifts)
Inpatient team manages new consults and follow-ups, allowing providers to leave on time when not on hospital rotation
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Eligible for Indiana medical licensure
Strong clinical skills and collaborative approach
