Impactful Hospitalist Position - Procedures Required

Locum Hospitalist – 24 Hr Solo Coverage | Paris, TN | March 4–9

We’re seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospitalist for 24-hour solo coverage at West Tennessee Healthcare Henry County Hospital in Paris.

This is a great short-term opportunity to work in a collegial, well-supported rural setting with expedited credentialing available.

📍 Assignment Details

• Dates: March 4–9 (ongoing needs)

• Setting: Inpatient | Critical Access Hospital (29 beds, 6 ICU beds)

• Coverage: 24-hour solo coverage (typically 12–15 hours rounding; remainder on call)

• Patient Volume: 10–18 per day

• EMR: Altera Paragon

• Credentialing: ~30 days (emergency privileges available)

🔎 Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in the ED at time of admission

• Manage high census and acuity

• Perform required procedures independently:

  • Intubation

  • Vent management

  • Central lines

  • Paracentesis

  • Thoracentesis

• Provide in-the-moment teaching and maintain strong, collegial communication with nursing and administrative staff

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible

• ACLS

• Must be comfortable performing all required procedures independently

• COVID vaccination required
