An established community hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont is looking for a full-time Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join its collaborative medical staff.

🔎 Clinical Responsibilities
As a Hospitalist, you will:
✔ Manage admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
✔ Evaluate and treat acute and chronic conditions
✔ Provide ventilator management
✔ Respond to codes and rapid response situations
✔ Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary teams
✔ Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics
✔ Document thoroughly in the EMR
✔ Coordinate transitions of care and discharge planning
✔ Educate patients and families on care plans
✔ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees
This role requires strong clinical judgment, comfort managing emergencies, and the ability to thrive in a team-based setting.
✅ Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active Vermont medical license
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start)
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- Ventilator management experience required
- Experience running codes required
- Recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required
